The TARC RESTAURANT & GIFT SHOP is
more than just a restaurant, it’s truly an experience. From
the moment you are greeted by our wonderful staff to the last bite
of your homemade meal, you know you are experiencing something special,
a restaurant not like any other you’ve been. Mornings begin
with a local favorite such as fresh beignets and lunches provide the
Cajun flair of dishes such as red beans and rice, chicken and sausage
gumbo, and shrimp stew. Fifteen participating individuals learn job
skills and social skills, which allows the training necessary for
a job in the community. The individuals are also responsible for preparing
some of the food, serving the food, washing the dishes and taking
the orders.

GIFT SHOP
The GIFT SHOP serves as a retail venue to
see and taste TARC’s various products from other TARC businesses such as
chocolates from Sweet Sensations, desserts from Le Bon Temps Bakery, salsa and
pepper jelly from Bon Terre Enterprises, candles from Sweet Scents, and art products
from Le Maison d'art department.
