Transportation

TARC currently provides TRANSPORTATION to approximately 7,071 passengers as well as averaging 23,841 miles per month. This service provides transportation to and from work. TARC's vehicles are 46% ADA compliant, which includes wheelchair lifts, tie downs, and passenger safety belts. TARC is continuing to improve this service on a daily basis.

TRANSPORTATION is provided for TARC Enterprises and Options Plus field trips, Sweet Sensations, The Cedar Chest Boutique, and meal runs for the cafeteria. In addition, Sunshine Express Early Care & Education Center children are transported to and from any field trip activities on TARC's buses. TARC also transports individuals to and from work at the TARC business complex. Ten routes encompass, end to end, the entire span of Terrebonne Parish.

Within the last few years, TARC’s buses have revamped the overall look of the buses. TARC has adopted a patriotic theme for full size buses, adorned with red, white, and blue colors, and patriotic graphics. Three of those buses are now named: The Patriot, The Liberty, and Old Glory. TARC individuals enjoy the new look of the buses.
